Taisho-Romantic Department Store DX, an event focusing on "Taisho-Roman", will once again be held at Isetan Shinjuku. During the event, nostalgic items will be gathered, centred on Taisho-Roman kimonos, as well as vintage wear, accessories and sundry goods.
A total of 17 participating brands and shops. Of particular interest is the romantic kimono series from Poniapon. The "Summer Kimono Primula" features a black and white gingham check with a large pink flower. The summer-friedndly material is resistant to sweat and rain and can be washed in cold water, making it comfortable to wear even in hot summer weather.
From Choko, which offers vintage goods and casual kimonos, comes obi belts from the original brand, C.H.O.K.O. Designed in collaboration with musician Kenichi Asai, it's reversible.
There's also a wide range of retro accessories, such as rose-embroidered clasp bags and large earrings.
Concurrent exhibition "Dreams of Taisho - Secret Meisen Story Exhibition"
The exhibition "Dreams of Taisho - Secret Meisen Story Exhibition" will be held at the same time. From the Meisen collection of Meisen researcher Masako Kiryu, 34 Meisen kimonos from the Taisho and early Showa periods will be on display.
