We would be happy to help people deliver the Shichi-Go-San, where many families put on the event, visit a shrine and take photographs of their precious memories, regardless of their children's environment or circumstances.

Project planning background - fotowa's thoughts

Shichi-Go-San is essentially a once-in-a-lifetime event filled with a lot of love from parents and adults around the child, celebrating the fact that the child has grown up to that age and praying for their healthy growth in the future.

Wearing a traditional Japanese kimono, paying a visit to a shrine and taking photographs of precious memorise.
Last year, we launched the "Shichi-Go-San Support Project" to provide children in children's homes with memories of Shichi-Go-San, in the hope of bringing such "Shichi-Go-San celebrations", which are held in many families, to as many children as possible, regardless of their upbringing or circumstances.

Last year, our first attempt, we were able to photograph Shichi-Go-San for four children's homes and one family with young carers, with warm support from all quarters.
The children's homes that participated in the project were delighted that they were able to leave their children with memories that will last a lifetime, and they home that the project will be repeated next year.

This year, the second year of the event, they have decided to continue to provide Shichi-Go-San kimonos and photography free of charge with the help of costume rental business RENCA Corporation, as we did last year, while improving our implementation methods to ensure smoother running of the event.

They believe that the fun time spent photographing and the photos that will always remind them of the happy memories will surely be the strength to support the children's future, which is why they are implementing the Shichi-Go-San Support Project again this year.
