On last Sunday, the first Sunday since the ban on individual travel by foreign tourist to Japan was lifted, the tourists aren’t only looking to make a big purchase, thanks to the weak yen. Foreign visitors also seem to be showing a growing interest in experimental consumption, which allows them to enjoy Japanese culture.

A British family came to Japan, a long-cherished dream, with the lifting of the ban on independent travel

British tourist: "We came from London yesterday, and we're going to the temple here. We intend to feel the traditional Japanese atmosphere."
