Founded in Kyoto in 1555, Chiso has created the beauty of Japan by working on a diverse range of products from dyed and woven goods, including Kyoto Yuzen, to fashion and gifts.
The company has now unveiled new kimonos from its iconic 'Flowers and Birds' collection.
At the same time, an animated film expressing this image is released.

The new works in the 'Flowers and Birds' series depict dreamlike scenes on kimonos, focusing on flowers and birds, universal motifs that have been used by many artists to express beauty in every age.
This year's exhibition also features animated images of the new kimonos.
It takes you on a journey through a fantastic scene of sparkling, colourful forests and fantastic springs, and takes you on a journey to encounter beauty.
The animation was created by Swedish illustrator Peter Gehrman.
