Hina Dolls Dressed in Vintage Kimonos

Hina dolls

Tsuruto Co. has unvailed the new Turuto Hina collection, the new 2023 Hina collection, which combines tradition with a modern sense of style.

Collaboration with Aiharu Dolls, a three-generation doll workshop in Saitama Prefecture

Tsuru to Hina is an unprecedented range of hina dolls that is at one traditional and modern.
The collaboration between the Japanese lifestyle brand Tsurutto and Aiharu Dolls, a hina doll workshop in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture, started in 2020.
Using reliable traditional techniques and the designer's sense of colour, they produce new, one-of-a-kind hina dolls with beautiful gradient costumes.

Offers a style of doll decorations that blends in with modern rooms

Nowadays, traditional culture is beginning to be re-evaluated, and Tsuruno offer a style of Hina decoration that blends in with modern rooms.
They offer not only traditional decorations, but also a variety of coordination items to suit your room interior, so that you can look forward to decorating every year and pass on the Japanese event and culture.

Upcycling vintage kimonos

The fabrics used for the dolls are reused vintage kimonos.
The time-worn kimono gives a new beauty to this one-of-a-kind hina doll.

Timelessly beautiful, the costumes of the dolls

As time goes by, opportunities to wear kimonos have decreased and many kimonos have fallen into disrepair.
They focus on these kimonos and make them shine again as costumes for dolls.
The kimonos carefully selected by the designers are beautiful, high-quality silk kimonos that have been tailored but never worn. The new style of dolls embodies the SDGs.
