The Chiyoda Kimono Collection was held at the main hall of Kounji Temple in Chiyoda Town, Gunma Prefecture, on 24 September, and was attended by about 30 people who applied to be models, and was bustling with spectators.

Men and women of all ages, from pre-school children to primary and secondary school students and seniors, appear as models.
Kiomonos for Shichi-Go-San and hakama for graduation ceremonies, as well as furisode, shiro muku and yukata, were worn on a runway through the main hall.

The final part of the event involved five staff members dressing the participants in juni hitoe, and Morita, a second-year student at Chiyoda Junior High School, who wore the kimono said: "I originally applied because I like kimonos. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I did it."

The event was part of the town's project to utilise shrines and temples. It was orginised by Naganuma Shizuka Kimono Gakuin Kumagaya School and supported by the town.
