Subjects surveyed: men and women from under 20s to over 60s across the county.

While there have been calls for a shift away from kimonos, it was found that 77.5% of respondents answered that they have a longing for kimonos.
Kimonos have a strong image of being worn for special occasions such as coming-of-age ceremonies, weddings, Shichi-Go-San and New Year's Day.
If they learn dressing techniques and become able to dress themselves, they are likely to have more opportunities to wear kimonos.
