CUC Summer Programme Invites Students from Overseas

Biwa
Chiba University of Commerce and Business (abbreviated as CUC) will host the "2022 CUC Summer Programme" from 17 (Wed) to 26 (Fri) August for 10 days, inviting 13 students from seven universities in five countries and regions: Germany, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the USA.

Points for this year

  • For the first time in three years, students from abroad stayed at the University due to the pandemic. Although the effects of the novel coronavirus infection still linger, the event will be held with the utmost care to prevent infection, and the opportunity for international exchange while on campus was restored to the students of the University.
  • Overseas students and supporter students of the University visit the Chiba Prefectural Government.
  • Volunteers from the Ichikawa International Exchange Association take the lead in dressing overseas students in kimonos with the University supporter students, and then they watch gagaku or Japanese classical music in kimonos. The event aims to promote exchange between overseas students, CUC students and local residents.
  • A one-day tour of Chiba Prefecture will be organised to show overseas students the wonders of Chiba Prefecture and to encourage them to transmit the information to their home countries.
  • "Find My Japan", in which overseas students present their real impressions of Japan. Students from the university and high school students affiliated with the university also take part. Meanwhile, the university students will introduce traditional Japanese games and provide an opportunity for cross-cultural exchange.
